Cylindrical grinding is a core capability at Taylor Engineering Ltd, supporting the production and finishing of precision round components for the aerospace industry. The process enables the accurate grinding of external diameters to extremely tight tolerances while maintaining excellent roundness, concentricity and surface finish.

Using specialist cylindrical grinding equipment, we are able to achieve dimensional accuracies in the region of microns, ensuring that critical aerospace components perform reliably in high-performance environments. The process is commonly applied to shafts, bearing journals, spindles and other rotational parts where precision and consistency are essential.

Our aerospace cylindrical grinding services support both new manufacture and component refurbishment, including the grinding of hardened materials and thermally sprayed coatings. All work is carried out under AS9100 and ISO 9001 certified quality management systems.
